The development of Windows and the birth of gaming

Quick overview:

For almost three decades, Windows has been the world's most popular operating system for dedicated computers and laptops. Although Apple has tried to increase its market share in recent years with OS X, Windows remains at the top for a variety of reasons.

The first major breakthrough came in 2001 from Windows XP and due to its ease of use, both for commercial and personal use, it remained at the top of the list - with no strict specifications to allow it to run smoothly, it was long considered perhaps the best optimized system, especially when it came to gaming, it was widely regarded as near perfect. The older operating system did not bog down systems with unnecessary applications or lag. The performance required in games was not compromised by the low system specs and what could be described as a lack of features indicated a lack of unnecessary overloads.

The two subsequent major versions, which came onto the market in the form of Windows Vista and Windows 7 in 2007 and 2009, were associated with a little controversy. Windows Vista attempted to introduce modern design into desktop operating systems and thereby create a more "mobile" impression. It was also supposed to round off many hard edges and allow the use of applications instead of just programs. However, due to the unnecessary overload and additional system requirements was not at all well received by users and was considered one of the worst versions ever. Windows 7 was much better and much more widely used, but with many users, the problems of overload and greater demands that Vista had doubled. This resulted in many low-end systems having problems in certain areas as the extra umph was only required to run the operating system.

The latest and most up-to-date offering, which fixed many problems but also introduced a number of new ones, came with Windows 10, which was released in 2015. With the inclusion of multiple apps, they stayed very much on the mobile theme, fixing part of the problem that occurred with the higher system specifications required in older versions. Now this runs smoothly even on lower-end systems. The system was also the first to integrate games into the platform and drive it more than previous interactions - the merging of the Microsoft Store and Game Center, which filled the gap between consoles with Xbox and PC, meant that many games were quickly available on both devices. The fact that popular titles already existed in the Microsoft Store meant that the operating system had taken greater account of the rising popularity of gaming as a whole and wanted to make it accessible to a wider market, particularly those who would not normally use these systems.

Although not as successful initially, Windows' mobile operating system was also part of this push - with iOS and Android becoming so successful, there was little scope for Windows to become truly successful here. Nevertheless, there was a small run of success that was partly responsible for pushing the desktop system as it actually did. At a time when mobile gambling was also beginning to develop, it remained a platform that many could rely on for faster integration of all gambling. Now it is becoming visible how the evolving genres, are beginning to catch the attention of many, especially through genres such as online gambling, as mobile casinos have become the most popular games. The number various mobile casinos is constantly growing and portability is the key to success, which is why the best mobile casinos are the first choice for many. Whether at home or on the go, mobile gambling as a whole is fast becoming the most popular gaming platform in the world.

No new Windows platforms are currently planned - Windows 10 is expected to receive regular updates twice a year as it evolves from a simple operating system to a service-oriented service. Given this, the current version will likely be the last one we see, barring any minor changes that are yet to come. The time of the new platform seems to be behind us and now we are looking at the service as a complete package, which we expect will change to respond to the needs of users, just as the implementation of "applications" and "services" into the existing systems has happened.
