Installing and configuring O&O CleverCache V4 1. Go to www.oo-software.com, click on Download and proceed with the download of O&O CleverCache V4. Install the software and start it.  2. You will see an overview of your complete memory allocation: Total Memory states the total amount of RAM (Random Access Memory) of your computer (e.g. 512 MB or 524288 KB). available and used show the how much memory is currently used by Windows, services or your programs. The File Cache value shows you much cache Windows has been using during uptime. Caching improves the system performance because when data is read, Windows stores them in the much faster memory and thus retrieves them considerably faster. 3. Switch to Mem-O-Free and click Enable Mem-O-Free. You can adjust exactly how much memory you generally want to keep free and the lower limit until the memory optimization begins. Mem-O-Safe adjusts the intervals Windows uses to renew the file cache - the higher the setting the faster memory accesses will be since Windows doesnt reset it too often.  From now on, when CleverCache is running in the background it will dramatically improve the performance while working with loads of programs and tasks simultaneously. |
