Quick overview:
Since the installation of Service Pack 2, elements such as images on websites are no longer displayed correctly. One reader reported that he no longer sees any images on eBay and that the button to log out is not available. This is due to the high security settings that protect the PC from attackers and viruses - to fix the errors, you need to lower the security level:
Internet Explorer - Activate image display
1. Click on the Start menu and then on Run. Type regedit and press Enter.
2. Expand the key path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN and double-click explorer.exe and iexplore.exe. Change the value here from 1 to 0.
Now restart Windows and try again!
3. If it does not work, we recommend deactivating protection against active content. To do this, open Internet Explorer
and select "Extras/Internet Options. Under the "Advanced tab, you will find the "Security section, where you can tick two boxes in front of
"Execution of active content in files... and "Execution of active content on CDs....
The next time you start Internet Explorer, everything should work again!
