Quick overview:
Ridiculous: Microsoft is blocking the complete download of Service Pack 3 (and the automatic delivery of Vista Service Pack 1, by the way) due to a problem with the "Dynamics" program. Why ridiculous? Dynamics is used on about 0% of home computers, so now home users can't get SP3 because of a problem that only annoys a minimal audience. Believe me: I have been working very intensively with SP3 over the last few weeks and there are a LOT (!) more problems with drivers, programs or settings that should have led to such a "showstopper" (as it is called in Microsoft slang).
Where is the logic? Why give priority to a minority when SP3 causes many other problems?
Read the current issue for possible further problems the PC Pr@xisin which I solve a number of the most common Service Pack 3 problems for you!
Oh and by the way: Although MS does not offer SP3 for the time being, you will find http://www.filehell.de/index.php?showfile=1&fid=214&p=downloads&area=1&categ=25 an alternative download link!
Sincerely,
Yours, Sandro Villinger
