Quick overview:
If you have a DSL connection and have switched from Windows 98 to Windows 2000, for example, you will have noticed that the ping for the 3D shooter Counterstrike has been increased from 60 to 120 or more, for example, which results in slower gameplay with frequent lags.
1. Start Counterstrike and immediately afterwards the Task Manager, which you can open via CTRL+ALT+ENTF reach.
2. Now switch to the tab Processes and click with the right mouse button on hl.exe click. A context menu will appear in which you can choose between Set priority for the stage Low decide.
Now you can return to the game with peace of mind and the lags with the lousy 120 ping are gone forever. You can also set a rule for Counterstrike by creating a ready-made batch file. Read how this works here!
