Quick overview:
If you have difficulties dialing into the Internet, this could be due to the so-called timeout. This is because it interrupts the dial-up after a certain time, although a connection might have been possible a short time later. To deactivate this timeout completely, you must carry out the following steps.
Tips for a stable Internet connection
1. Click on "Start" > "Execute" and type in the command line "regedit" followed by Enter.
2. Make your way through the keys "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Net\0001" and double-click on the value "Slownet".
3. A line appears with the content "0000 01". Now delete the "01" and instead carry a "0" so that the entry is now "0000 00" reads.
