Quick overview:
Since the installation of Service Pack 2, elements such as images on websites are no longer displayed correctly. One reader reported that eBay no longer sees any images and the button to log out is not available. This is due to the high security settings that protect the PC from attackers and viruses - to fix the errors, you need to lower the security level:
Internet Explorer - Activate image display
1. Click on the Start menu and then on Execute. Tap regedit and press Enter.
2. Extend the key path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN and double-click on explorer.exe and iexplore.exe. Change the value here from 1 on 0.
Now restart Windows and try again!
3. If this does not work, we recommend deactivating protection against active content. To do this, open Internet Explorer
and select "Extras/Internet options. You will find under the tab "Extended the category "Securitywhere you have to check two boxes in front of
"Execution of active content in files... as well as "Execution of active content on CDs... set.
Everything should work again the next time you start Internet Explorer!
