Um dies herauszufinden lud Microsoft 120 "Testpersonen" nach San Francisco ein. Zunächst wurden die Testpersonen zu ihrer persönlichen Einstellung gegenüber Windows Vista befragt. Das Ergebnis viel erwartungsgemäß schlecht aus: zu instabil, zu langsam und keine nennenswerten Neuerungen.
Anschließend wurde den Testpersonen das "neue" Betriebssystem Windows "Mojave" vorgestellt. Die Tester waren beeindruckt. Der Clou an der Geschichte: hinter "Mojave" verbarg sich Windows Vista.
