Quick overview:
Wie der offizielle Windows-Blog von Microsoft US berichtet, ist das Service Pack 2 für Windows Vista (und Server 2008) fertig. Es beinhaltet sämtliche Updates, die seit SP1 erschienen sind, sowie einige neue Funktionen. Dazu zählen:
- Windows Suche 4: Beschleunigt Suchvorgänge um bis zu 30%.
- Bluetooth 2.1: Unterstützung der neuesten Bluetooth-Spezifikationen.
- exFAT-Dateisystem: Verbessertes Dateisystem für Flashspeicher.
- Blu-Ray-Brennfunktion: Erlaubt es, Blu-Rays mit Hilfe des Windows-Explorers zu schreiben.
- Sparfunktion: SP2 soll den Akku von Notebooks schonen und angeblich 10% länger durchhalten.
- Flotter: Neben einigen Leistungsupdates wurde auch die Erkennungsrate von USB-Geräten verbessert. Auch die Kommunikation zwischen Windows und Firewalls geht flotter voran!
Aber Achtung: Das Service Pack 1 von Windows Vista (Download hier) ist Voraussetzung!
