Quick overview:
The new Telekom DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) enables lightning-fast data transmission on the Internet. Nothing stands in the way of live transmissions, large downloads and extensive music - it offers up to many times the speed of other Internet connections. The lightning-fast construction of Internet pages makes it possible to find information quickly. If you have a T-DSL connection with a modem, you can set this up under Windows 2000:
1. Click here to download the latest T-DSL drivers from the T-Online site. The file is 1.96 megabytes in size and can therefore be downloaded quite quickly. However, since you cannot get online, you should either install the drivers from the CD supplied (which are somewhat older) or drag and drop the files onto an Internet-enabled computer and burn them. In these instructions I assume the latter case.
2. As soon as the file is on your PC, all you have to do is double-click on TDSLSetup.exe execute.
3. Now go through the installation instructions in sequence. Drivers will be installed and you will need to specify your network card. As soon as this is done, the setup wizard will ask you to restart your computer. Now the T-DSL drivers are completely installed and you only need to dial in with the T-Online software. Have fun with 16 times the speed of a modem!
