Quick overview:
Windows 98 and Me defragmentation is often a time-consuming process, especially if the hard disk has been without the tidying up process for a long time. We have a little trick for you to make your life easier and shut down the computer automatically after defragmentation. For example, you can go to bed in the evening and the computer will do its job and then go to sleep too.
Auto shutdown - how it works
1. Right-click on the desktop and select New/text file. Open this file and enter the following content:
@echo off
Start /w Defrag.exe/full/all/noprompt/P/H
rundll32.exe user,exitwindows
exit
2. Click on File/Save as... in the menu bar and select File type under All files. Now enter the name Filename in the Defragmentation.bat window. Now select Save.
3. After double-clicking on the saved file, the defragmentation starts and automatically shuts down the computer at 100%.
