Quick overview:
Windows attempts to contact the monitor every time the system is started. This is done via the DDC (Data Display Channel) channel. Data such as the type of monitor or its maximum resolution is queried via this channel. However, as many monitors do not support this type of connection, Windows tries in vain to transfer this data for a few seconds. During this time, the start-up process comes to a complete standstill. If you want to disable this type of connection and save several seconds, you must proceed as follows...
Boot operating system without DDC check
1. Go over Start on Execute and type in the command line that appears regedit in.
2. A program appears with which you can Windows registry can edit.
3. Now navigate one after the other to Hkey_Local_Machine/System/Current ControlSet/Services/Class/Display/0000/Default. In the right-hand pane you will now see the entry DDC. Double-click on it and enter instead of the existing 1 one 0 inside.
After confirming with and clicking on to close the program, you can restart the computer and enjoy the fast start-up process.
