Quick overview:
If you are a user of MSN Messenger, you will have noticed that it switches itself on as soon as you access your Hotmail account or similar MSN pages. You have not been able to prevent this so far. Using the search function of the Windows registry I have found a way to disconnect the program from the internal link it has with some sites.
And this is how they proceed:
Troubleshooting MSN Messenger
1. Click here to download a Windows registry file that will make the necessary changes for you.
2. Double-click on the file after it has been transferred to your computer.
3. A message appears...
which you must confirm with Yes and then with OK.
4. After a restart, you can check your Hotmail account, for example, without Messenger interfering.
