Quick overview:
In addition to the previous experiences with the Service Pack 1 installation under Windows XP, one of the problems is becoming more and more frequent and is spreading. The installation of SP1 is terminated with the error message: Service Pack 1 setup error: [Error cross] The Service Pack 1 setup was canceled F
We have investigated for you and have come to the conclusion that the popular program XP AntiSpy, which prevents spying through registry settings, is responsible for this.
Fix installation problems during setup of SP1
1. reset all XP AntiSpy settings to default values.2
2. if even this does not solve the problem, I recommend that you reintegrate the spy file licdll.dll, which XP AntiSpy has removed but in some cases can no longer be integrated, back into the system.
You do this by clicking on Start/Execute click and there regsvr32 licdll.dll enter. Click on OK confirms their plan.
After a restart, the update should now work without errors.
