Quick overview:
Are you one of those users who use their PC as a video recorder or movie maker? These conversions require a lot of processing power and therefore even the fastest computers should be optimally equipped for video editing or processing as well as recording TV channels. However, we also recommend that you optimize your Windows for larger file and storage operations. And this is how you proceed:
1. Click on Start Settings Control Panel > System and switch to the Performance features tab. Click on the File system button to open another window.
2. Using the drag & drop method, drag the Read Ahead slider all the way to the left so that the text Windows does not read data in advance... appears at the bottom.
The read optimization is set to None via this dialog
3. Now we leave this window and turn to the troubleshooting. Now click the checkmark in front of Disable delayed writing for all drives and confirm with Ok.
Despite the Windows warning in the help, you should activate this function
4. The window with the performance characteristicsshould still be open in which you click on Virtual memory. Enter 512 megabytes as the minimum and maximum respectively.
After a restart, you can enjoy your movie experience at optimum speed.
