Quick overview:
If you are one of those users who use their PC as a video recorder or movie maker? These conversions require a lot of processing power and therefore even the fastest computers should be optimized for video editing and recording TV channels. However, we also recommend that you optimize your Windows for larger file and storage operations. And this is how you proceed:
1. Click in succession on Start > Settings > System control > System and switch to the tab Performance features. A click on the button File system opens another window.
2. Using the drag & drop method, drag the Read Ahead slider all the way to the left so that the text Windows does not read data in advance... appears.
The read optimization is set via this dialog to None regulated down
3. Now we leave this window and turn to the Troubleshooting to. Now click the checkmark in front of Deactivate delayed writing for all drives and confirm with Ok.
Despite the Windows warning in the help, you should activate this function
4. The window with the Performance characteristics should still be open in which you Virtual memory click. Enter a minimum and maximum of 512 Megabyte in.
After a restart, you can enjoy your movie at optimum speed.
