Quick overview:
If you right-click on "My Computer" and select "Properties," basic information about your computer will appear: processor, RAM, operating system, as well as company name and username. However, you can customize the last two fields as you see fit, for example, if you’re selling or giving away your computer. To change this information, follow these steps:
1. Click Start/Run one after the other and type regedit in the command line that appears. The editor for editing the Windows registry will appear.

2. Navigate through the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion subkeys and look at the RegisteredOrganization and RegisteredOwner entries in the right-hand pane.

3. If you now double-click on these entries, you will be given the opportunity to change your name and company. Further up under ProductName you will be given the option to change the operating system name. The system properties could now look like this.
