Quick overview:
Windows 2000 has the Disk Cleanup program, which can be found in the Start menu. This wizard starts automatically when the hard disk capacity becomes too small. Since this program is not really useful because it can only delete a few megabytes and today's hard disks have dozens of gigabytes, it is better to switch off this annoying feature:
1. Click on "Start" > "Execute" and type "regedit" button. The registration program appears, which is similar to the Explorer.
2. Now scroll through the keys "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explor er\MyComputer\CleanupPath" and double-click in the right-hand pane on the entry
3. Delete the entire content of the line that now appears, click on "Ok". From now on you have peace of mind from the annoying program.
