Quick overview:
I have already written some tweaks about the new Windows XP start menu. Now I would like to focus on the small image that appears at the top. Immediately after installation, one of the default images is randomly assigned to a user. To change it you just have to click on this picture and you can choose one of the pictures you brought with you and click on Ok confirm.
I took a few pictures myself, which may not be able to compete directly with the others, but are nevertheless illustrative.
To add them, simply right-click on the desired one and choose Memory under... choose. Make a note of the exact path.
If you want all pictures at once you can also download this packed ZIP archive: Windows Tweaks IconPackage XP
Now click on the image again in the start menu and select Search for more images. Navigate to the path where your picture is located and double-click on it. The small picture will now appear in the Start menu.
I hereby open a start menu picture gallery
If you feel like it and have a little time, you can share your own creations with the public. The start menu image is 48x48 pixels and can be in any format. Send it to me and I will publish it.
Good luck and let your creativity run wild! A special thank you goes to Siegfried Priewasser, who has already produced 4 impressive icons (Kirk, Presidenten aus Stein, the snow mountain and the wolf) and André Wendt for his Hollywood icons! Clemi also deserves praise, as he is responsible for the two cute pussycats at the end.
