Quick overview:
Due to an ill-considered intervention in the autostart settings, it has happened: the sidebar no longer starts automatically. This is annoying, but no reason to despair.
1. open "Computer", select your Windows partition and change to the directory 'ProgramsWindowsSidebar'.
2. call up the 'Sidebar.exe' application.
3. with the right mouse button you can now view the properties of the sidebar.
4. select the item "Start sidebar when Windows starts" and confirm this action with OK.
