For a few days now, you have been getting the error message "This update could not be installed due to a critical problem."? This problem is related to an outdated version of the WGA tool (Windows Genuine Advantage). How to solve the problem:
- Download the update KB935509 from the Microsoft website.
- Now start the installation process.
After installation, all newer updates can be installed without any problems.
