Quick overview:
Windows 7 Ultimate allows you to change the system language with just a few clicks.
[Gerrit Grunwald]
One of the many features of the Ultimate version is a change to the UI language. And this is how it's done:
Navigate in the 'Control Panel' via the function 'Time, language and region' to the sub-item Change display language.
You can access the Windows language settings via the 'Keyboards and languages' tab. Click on Install / Uninstall to start the installation wizard.
Windows now asks whether to search for available language packs via the update function, on the computer or in the network. Select the Windows Update here.
In the following window, click on the Install updates button.
You will then be shown a selection of available language packages. Select the package(s) to be installed and start the installation by clicking on OK.
Windows will now download the required files automatically. After the download, the installation of the language pack begins. Following the installation, the new language version can be found in the drop-down menu of the display languages.
Select the desired language version and confirm with OK. After logging in again, Windows starts in the new language.
The changes made only affect Windows (menus, buttons, help texts, etc.). For additional programs, such as Microsoft Office, the language pack must be downloaded separately.
We hope you enjoy using the (free) Microsoft vocabulary trainer. 🙂
